PointSav Documentation

The engineering library for the PointSav platform — operating systems and services for regulated businesses that own their data, their AI, and their record-keeping outright. Where the monorepo holds the code, this wiki holds the reasoning: architecture, services, security, and the governance commitments that bind future development.

## Where to start

Forty-three articles define the reusable mechanisms the rest of the platform names without redefining. These thirteen cover every group in the category and are the ones other articles cite most; read them and the vocabulary of the whole knowledge base resolves.

- [[compounding-substrate|Compounding substrate]] — Open code, a deterministic AI-free data layer, and an optional intelligence layer whose use compounds as training signal. The most-cited article in this knowledge base.
- [[apprenticeship-substrate|Apprenticeship substrate]] — Work routed through a local model first, with signed senior verdicts captured as preference pairs for continued pretraining.
- [[disclosure-substrate|Disclosure substrate]] — How a version-controlled Markdown wiki becomes the primary continuous-disclosure record, with signed authorship chains and content hashes.
- [[citation-substrate|Citation substrate]] — The YAML citation registry with drift detection that makes provenance machine-auditable, from source instrument to published claim.
- [[language-protocol-substrate|Language-protocol substrate]] — The frontmatter field, routing table, and mailbox convention that carry a draft's declared register and destination between archives.
- [[sel4-microkernel-substrate|seL4 microkernel substrate]] — The formally verified kernel named as the planned shared substrate, with a clear note that it is not yet the running kernel for every member of the OS family.
- [[capability-ledger-substrate|Capability ledger substrate]] — Every access-control decision as a cryptographically auditable event, anchored to a log the customer controls.
- [[merkle-proofs-as-substrate-primitive|Merkle proofs as a substrate primitive]] — The mechanism that lets any third party check that a record belongs to an append-only log which has not been rewritten.
- [[compounding-doorman|Compounding Doorman]] — One service mediating every external compute call, logging each event and accumulating training signal as it goes.
- [[single-boundary-compute-discipline|Single-boundary compute discipline]] — Every inference request routes through the Doorman, with bypass prevented structurally rather than by policy.
- [[four-tier-slm-substrate|Four-tier SLM substrate ladder]] — Four customer tiers, from a lightweight gateway up to a domain specialist, each adding capability without regressing the tier below.
- [[substrate-without-inference-base-case|Substrate without inference — the base case]] — The archive stays fully operational and freely transferable with no AI tier at all. This is the article the AI-optionality claim rests on.
- [[code-for-machines-first|Code for machines first]] — Every contract, audit record, and configuration is machine-readable as its primary surface; human interfaces are skins over that.

## Core named substrates

The nine named substrates: each names a structural property the platform depends on.
Important Information

Some articles describe planned or intended features, capabilities, and milestones — language such as "planned," "intended," "targeted," "may," and "expected" marks this forward-looking content, which is subject to change and does not constitute a commitment regarding future performance.

Confidentiality. Where an article describes an operational or deployment detail that is not intended for public disclosure, that article is not published on this wiki. Content here is general-purpose engineering documentation, not customer-specific configuration.

Jurisdiction. Woodfine Capital Projects Inc. is organized in British Columbia, Canada. References to the Sovereign Data Foundation on this wiki describe a planned or intended initiative only, not a current equity holder or active governance body.
