When the platform scales to multi-node corpus producers — a planned future state — the queue directory can be placed on a shared network filesystem (NFS, Cloud Filestore, or an equivalent) and the lease mechanics continue to hold on POSIX-compliant mounts. Alternatively, that future state may introduce a message broker as a speed layer while retaining the JSONL corpus format. The choice remains open and is not foreclosed by the current design.
